Job Title: Grounds MaintenanceJob Location: Ambler, PA 19002Payrate: $17/hr.Duration: 6 monthsMust have a valid drivers License for this role.Job Description:The position provides overall grounds and maintenance service conducive to provide burial, landscaping, and burial marker installation servicesJob Responsibilities may include:Assist in performing openings & closings for burials, entombments, and inurnmentsOperating a mower, weed eater and blowerDigging graves, placing headstones, hauling dirt, set up and tear down of gravesites.Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markersInstalls outer burial containersHandles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenanceResponds to and completes requests for service/work ordersConducts 25-foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neatFills grave, tamps, seeds or sodsAdheres to all Company safety rules and Universal PrecautionsMaintains a clean and orderly work areaCompletes Dignity training as assignedAdheres to all standards of the Dignity Memorial PromisePerforms all other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:Acceptable driving record and applicable license(s) to operate equipment/vehiclesExperience:Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipmentAbility to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to a shovel, pick, rake, sledgehammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower, chain saw and pumpAbility to operate mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, a dump truck, tractor, utility vehicle, marker trailed, dump trailer, jack hammer, tamper, and backhoeAbility to accurately use measuring devices (i.e., tape measure, yard stick, etc.)Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates, contractor personnel and client familiesAbility to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.Work Conditions:Work indoors or outdoors during all seasons and weather conditionsWork Hours:40 hours a week Working beyond "standard" hours as the need arises
