As Senior Civil Engineer | Group Manager, you'll drive transformative infrastructure solutions while mentoring the next generation of engineers. This role serves as a key leadership position with accountability for team performance, resource planning, and strategic growth.What You'll DoDemonstrate Windsor’s core values: The Right Attitude, Ownership, and Constant Improvement.Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and performance management for assigned staffSupport hiring, onboarding, coaching, and professional development of team membersParticipate in workload forecasting, resourcing, and staff utilization planningContribute to group-level strategy, operational improvements, and financial performanceFoster a positive, high-accountability team culture aligned with Windsor’s valuesManage projects (As "Lead" and/or "PM" when assigned) across Street, Utilities, Stormwater and general civil engineering projectsBe responsible for project delivery (scope, schedule, and budget) including QA/QC processes at all project stagesAct as Engineer of Record and lead technical reviewerWork independently and with a team to drive project deliverables as both a project design Lead and Project Manager. Work closely with clients and other stakeholders to represent Windsor positively, identify new business opportunities, and grow strong long-term relationshipsDevelop and maintain relationships with team members, clients, and industry partners to expand Windsor's network and market presenceCollaborate with and explain complex design options to a diverse stakeholder group while positioning Windsor's solutions and expertise Lead estimating and proposal efforts for new project opportunities, including development of winning technical approaches and value propositionsEffectively plan and manage multiple projects and deadlines and complete deliverables on time and on budget.Mentor/train junior team members in technical excellence, quality standards, and client relationship management across civil engineering disciplinesChampion and be responsible for quality control and following Windsor’s Quality Management Plan (QMP) Develop and apply knowledge of engineering systems, codes, and other disciplines to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needsCoordinate with other disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Complete site visits as needed. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a similar degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure in OR and/or WA or ability to obtain it within 6 months10+ years' experience in civil design industry with demonstrated expertise in general civil engineering10+ years' experience with production/design of pipelines, treatment facilities, and other civil infrastructureDemonstrated experience leading teams, including performance feedback and professional developmentAbility to manage competing priorities across projects, people, and business objectivesExperience with staff resource planning, utilization tracking, or financial performance a plusStrong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, align, and develop high-performing teamsProven experience in project management and technical review across multiple civil disciplinesStrong written and verbal communications skillsKnowledge of Civil 3DArcGIS Pro knowledge a plusDemonstrated experience developing and implementing comprehensive QA/QC processes and procedures for both water/wastewater and general civil projectsProven track record of business development and client relationship managementExperience mentoring junior staff and leading multidisciplinary technical teamsExperience with proposal writing and project pursuits across various civil engineering sectorsExperience with stakeholder engagement and public presentationsStrong understanding of technical standards and specifications across civil engineering disciplinesBenefitsSelf-Managed PTO: Take a minimum of 2 weeks, the rest is up to you.Paid Parental Leave: Because family always comes first.Multiple healthcare plan options- with $0 premium options for employees and families offered dependent on plan.$0 Vision, and Dental Premiums for employees AND families: We want you and your family to be happy and healthy.401k Company MatchWork-from-home Flexibility: Because life is flexible – we should be too.Comprehensive Employee Development: Training paths & programs, coaching and support.
