We partner closely with Data Science, Analytics, and Platform Engineering to deliver trusted, scalable data assets that teams across the business rely on every day.We're modernizing our stack and there's real work to do — processes are still maturing, ownership is being clarified, and we're looking for engineers who want to help build things the right way from here.About the RoleThis is a 12-month fixed term contract. We're at an exciting but demanding point in our data platform journey, and we need extra capacity to help us move faster. There's real, meaningful work to do here — and plenty of scope to make your mark.We're looking for a Data Platform Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our core data infrastructure. You'll work on pipelines, platform tooling, and data quality, helping us scale reliably and build good engineering habits along the way.You'll report to the Senior Data Platform Manager and collaborate closely with Analytics, Data Science, and Platform Engineering. This is a hands-on role — you'll spend most of your time building, fixing, and improving, with growing opportunities to shape technical decisions as you settle in.What you’ll doPlatform development & maintenanceBuild and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery across the organizationContribute to the design and improvement of our data warehouse and lakehouse architectureHelp consolidate and improve fragmented tooling, replacing manual processes with automated, repeatable solutionsSupport data quality, lineage tracking, and observability across our pipelinesWork within our CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure-as-code using tools like TerraformCollaboration & documentationPartner with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, and Platform Engineering to understand data needs and deliver reliable platform capabilitiesDocument data workflows, ownership guidelines, and engineering decisions to improve team clarityContribute to the development of shared templates, standards, and best practices for pipeline developmentGrowth & learningDeepen your understanding of streaming architectures, data governance, and modern platform patternsWork alongside experienced engineers and take on increasing ownership of platform components over timeWhat you bringSolid experience as a data or software engineer working with data pipelines, warehousing, or platform infrastructureHands-on experience with tools like Python, SQL, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with cloud-native data infrastructure and batch or streaming data processingA collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly across technical teamsComfort working in ambiguous environments where not everything is defined yetExtra awesomeExperience with Kafka or similar streaming technologiesExposure to data governance frameworks or data quality toolingBackground in a B2B SaaS or product-led companyFamiliarity with reverse-ETL, data contracts, or event-driven architectures*Typeform drives hundreds of millions of interactions each year, enabling conversational, human-centered experiences across the globe.
