Visit friendship.us for more information.Friendship is looking for a PRN and a Full Time MDS Coordinator to join our Friendship Health and Rehab team. The MDS Coordinator is responsible for maintaining RAI regulations and principles while completing MDS assessments and care planning for residents. The MDSC is responsible for optimizing PDPM and RUGS 48 reimbursement. The MDSC will assist with Managed Care updates as needed.Roles & Responsibilities:Maintain guidelines as per RAI manual in timely completion of MDS and care planningKnowledge of PDPM, RUGS 48, Managed Care, and Medicare Replacement PoliciesUse data from resident's record, enter correct/appropriate answers on the computerized MDSAssist TEAM in Baseline CP implementation and Review with Resident/Resident RP, as per Federal RegulationsProvide Managed Care updates to Case Mangers as may be indicatedAnalyze aspects of resident's individual needs and facilitate collaboration of the interdisciplinary team to develop Resident Centered Care Plan, to enable resident to achieve their highest level of functioningCoordinate with the Interdisciplinary team members in timely completion of the MDSMust attend facility mandated in-servicesAssist in maintaining facility readiness for all regulatory inspections including Virginia Department regulationsWork as a liaison between all specialty physicians and physician offices for any related questions, concerns, including rounding with physician if needed and preparing weekly patient listAdhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Friendship and conveys these policies to nursing staffAssist with UAI Completion as may be indicatedAssist with ADR'sKnowledge of Quality MeasuresQualifications:Nursing Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent graduation from an approved program, requiredRN or LPN with MDS 3.0 knowledge - certification preferred (AAPACN or comparable agency)Experience in Long-term Care environment preferred Benefits for Full Time Positions:401(k) retirement plan along with employer matchHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountPaid Time OffEducation AssistanceEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany Paid Life InsuranceVoluntary insurance (additional life insurance, accident insurance, critical illness, short term disability)
