Pay: $38–$45 per hour
Location: Based in DFW, traveling throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and surrounding states
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Traveling Journeyman Service / Lead Electrician to support commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role involves leading small crews, performing service work, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, industrial knowledge, and expertise in GRS threading.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly pay: $38–$45/hour (based on experience)
Company-provided work van
Per diem: $50/day + hotel provided
Option to use company hotel + $50/day
OR receive full per diem to arrange your own lodging
Travel opportunities across multiple states
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise crews of up to 10 electricians and apprentices
Install electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
Install raceways including EMT, GRC (rigid), PVC, and cable tray
Install and maintain electrical equipment such as:
Disconnects
Transformers
Panelboards
Switchgear
Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and components
Perform testing using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and insulation testing equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
Participate in daily/weekly safety meetings
Track and submit crew time accurately
Document work performed, testing results, and resolutions
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending, crouching, and crawling
Climb ladders, scaffolds, and structures
Operate equipment such as forklifts and aerial lifts
Lift 50+ lbs
Travel Requirements
Travel required throughout:
Texas
Oklahoma
Arkansas
Additional states as needed
Hotel accommodations provided
Daily per diem included
Company vehicle provided for travel
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician License required
Texas license preferred or from a reciprocating state
Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical work
Strong leadership experience (crew supervision preferred)
Experience with GRS (rigid) conduit threading is highly important
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass:
Background check (required for job site badging)
Drug screening

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
