IP Staff Attorney - Trademark

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Attorney with 2+ years of Trademark experience. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of trademark registration, branding, enforcement and litigation and will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to our clients across various industries. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the growth and success of our trademark practice.Key Responsibilities: Brand Counseling, Trademark Registration and Prosecution:Manage the trademark application process from inception to registration, including conducting comprehensive trademark searches and preparing and filing applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Respond to office actions and coordinate with clients to address any issues that may arise during the registration process.Develop and manage global trademark portfolio strategy, including preparing and prosecuting international trademark applications, managing local counsel and communicating with clients. Brand and Trademark Enforcement:Develop and implement strategies for trademark enforcement, including monitoring and addressing potential infringement issues.Draft and send cease-and-desist letters and negotiate settlement agreements, as necessary.Coordinate global trademark enforcement efforts, including review of international trademark watch notices, management of international trademark opposition and cancellation matters and oversight of global trademark litigation matters. Litigation and Opposition Support:Assist in trademark litigation matters, including conducting legal research, preparing pleadings and supporting discovery efforts.Collaborate with external counsel as needed on complex litigation cases.
