Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
MONKEY MOUTHS, PLLC is a pediatric therapy company with multiple locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We specialize in providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, and feeding therapy in a private practice setting. Openings available in Coppell (Zip Code: 75019), and Southwest Fort Worth (Zip Code: 76132)Role DescriptionAs a Bilingual SLP-A you will:Perform weekly therapy sessions for a culturally and linguistically diverse caseload.Implement documented care plans developed and directed by the supervising SLP.Provide direct therapy services addressing treatment goals developed by the supervising SLP to meet the needs of the patient and family.Assist with communications regarding patient care and scheduling as needed in person, by telephone, or via email.Provide Parent Education and Home Programming following each therapy session.Complete accurate documentation of evaluations and therapy sessions in a timely manner.Maintain company productivity standards.Collaborate with other team members to include Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Administrative Staff.Attend Weekly Round Table Meetings and any additional meetings determined by your Clinical Director, Supervisor, or Company Owner.Pursue relevant Continuing Education to best serve our patient population.Assume other projects and responsibilities as assigned by your Supervisor. Abide by all company Policies & Procedures.Adhere to the responsibilities for SLPAs specified in ASHA’s scope of practice document and in state requirements.QualificationsProficiency in Speech and Speech Therapy techniquesAbility to assist with communication and manage communication disorders effectivelyExpertise in supporting Articulation development in childrenFluency in Spanish and English, with strong bilingual communication skillsCurrent licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of TexasExperience with pediatric therapy and ability to build rapport with children and familiesCompassionate, patient, and collaborative approach to working with diverse needs
