You won’t just be assembling proposals—you’ll help shape strategy, messaging, and positioning that drives results.This role is ideal for someone who wants to:Take ownership of the full proposal lifecycleInfluence win strategies and business development effortsImprove processes and elevate proposal quality across the organizationContribute to a high-performing proposal team driving company growthThe ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and experienced in proposal development for consulting services, including environmental, building science, industrial hygiene, geotechnical, energy, and construction management.Essential Duties & TasksManage the full lifecycle of RFQs/RFPs—from go/no-go through submissionDevelop proposal strategies, outlines, schedules, and compliance matricesWrite and edit compelling content, including approaches, qualifications, project profiles, and executive summariesEnsure all submissions are compliant, polished, and aligned with client priorities, goals and RFx requirementsCollaborate with technical teams and business development leaders to develop win themes and differentiatorsFacilitate kickoff meetings, reviews, and interview preparationSupport go/no-go decision-making and opportunity evaluationCoordinate with subconsultants and teaming partnersEnsure consistency in messaging, branding, and visual presentationEdit and refine content for clarity, accuracy, and impactCollaborate with marketing and design resources to produce polished deliverablesMaintain and enhance proposal templates, content libraries, and project profilesTrack win/loss metrics and identify opportunities for improvementHelp standardize best practices across teamsContribute to capability statements and marketing materialsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3 - 5+ years of proposal management experience, preferably in environmental, engineering, architecture, or professional services (AEC) consulting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAdobe InDesign and CRM or similar experience is a plusIndustry experience in at least one of the following fields: Environmental, engineering or architectural consulting, contracting or marketing consulting firms serving the A&E industryWriting experience in at least one of the following fields: proposal, technical or grant writing and/ or marketing communicationsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to read, write, speak & comprehend EnglishMust be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephoneVisual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and the computer screenRequires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift. CompensationSalary range: $90,000 -$105,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the roleThe pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
