Project Superintendent
Position Summary:
The Project Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and oversees all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, overseeing all subcontractor and field personnel, while ensuring that all work completed meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements and high-quality standards of Pools of Fun.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and oversees all construction activities associated with the installation of in-ground pools.
Coordinates with local and state government agencies to ensure project is in compliance with regulations.
Directs all field personnel and subcontractors to achieve completion of project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original contract specifications.
Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.
Maintains all paperwork for administration including work orders and variance work orders and submits completed file upon project completion.
Coordinates with customers the collection of funds per contract and per change of work order.
Obtains all inspections and ensures all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and requirements.
Conducts and/or attends pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings.
Communicates with customers on a daily basis to discuss the status of project, to proactively identify and resolve problems and to assure that the customer is kept knowledgeable about the status of the work.
Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
Prepares, schedules and oversees completion of a final punch list.
Ensures all field personnel and subcontracts are adhering to the company safety policy.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
AS degree in Construction Manager or similar or a Journeyman status in a building trade
Five+ years of successful experience in the construction industry preferably in residential construction
Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control and product of all phases of construction (preferably residential)
Ability to work independently with minimal management guidance
Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities
Very organized with a systematic approach tasks to achieve accuracy and efficiency.
Professionally and technically competent.
Acts with confidence and decisiveness to solve people problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience in managing multiple projects
