Quality Control Inspector

JOB REQUIREMENTS: What you will doing as part of our team: .Under thedirection of the Operations Quality Supervisor, the Quality ControlInspector, performs assigned inspections and tests and to validatematerials, production processes, and finished products using variable orattribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformancewith RER and customers\' quality requirements as well as compliance withapplicable codes and specifications on both nuclear and non-nuclear typework. Verify conformance of incoming materials to known customerstandards and technical specifications by conducting visualexaminations, inspections, and tests; rejecting and assisting in thereturn of unacceptable materials. Perform and document in-process, finalinspection and test activities for production-related operations byverifying conformance to known specifications; conducting visualexaminations, inspections, and tests; communicating nonconformingconditions to the necessary production personnel; and verifying that allnonconformances are closed prior to release of product to the customer.Initiate and implement the corrective action process whenever conditionsadverse to quality are identified and communicated. Ensure timelyidentification, communication, and resolution of nonconformances,including verification that all issues are properly closed prior toproduct release. Serve as a qualified auditor and technical specialistfor both internal and external audits. Must be able to pass an in-housewritten examination to qualify as a Quality Control Inspector. Partnerwith operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve qualityissues and improve production processes. Ensure compliance with companypolicies, safety standards, ASME Code, jurisdictional requirements, andcustomer specifications. Support workforce development by training andmentoring employees on quality standards, inspection techniques, andcontinuous improvement practices. Manage workload priorities, includingovertime needs and special projects, to meet operational and customerdemands. Accomplishes quality and organizational objectives bycompleting assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Operate liftequipment and cranes to safely move parts and pumps. Complete specialprojects as assigned. Monitor and maintain inspection, measurement, andtest equipment (IM&TE); coordinate repairs and maintenance to IM&TE withapproved suppliers as necessary. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possessthe ability to interpret and analyze data; understand and systematicallyfollow policies, procedures, and processes; read and interpret drawingsand specifications; document and report inspection and test results;steadfastly promote process improvement; understand and follow safetyprotocols; understand and support organizational change processes topromote and improve quality in the workplace. Demonstrate conviction towardquality and attention to detail. Understand the purpose and function ofquality plans, job travelers, procedures, instructions, forms, and otherquality control documentation. Able to build and maintain relationshipswhile demonstrating professionalism and poise toward customers, vendorsand co-workers in the workplace. Possess the ability to work on assignedtasks with little supervision. Ability to read and interpretmeasurements including utilizing a variety of measuring devices. Strongability to utilize technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolveproblems and objections from both internal and external forces. Abilityto read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules,operating and maintenance instruction , and procedure manuals. Abilityto read and calculate figures such as measurements, proportions,percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply conceptsof basic algebra and geometry. Requires the ability to operate a varietyof small hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, liftequipment and cranes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Educationand/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate\'sdegree or above in an engineering-related or technical field isfavorable. Prior involvement with ASME, ISO 9001, AISC, or other QA/QCCertification Programs Is Preferred. Prior Knowledge And/or Experiencewith pump operation, fabrication, or repair is desired.
