Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
This is a 12-month special project position*
This position will primarily be working in the community as part of the Mental Health Outreach Team, and will also include some work in the Washington County Jail as part of the Jail Social Work Team. Responsibilities may include:
Complete Comprehensive (Chemical Health) Assessment
Complete DAANES documentation
Develop, write, implement and monitor strength-based individual and family service plans to correct/eliminate identified problems
Negotiate and resolve conflicts
Collaborate and consult with others (professional staff and community agencies) regarding clients, community services or programs
Open and maintain client case records and files according to established standards and timelines
Advise clients of possible resources, rights and responsibilities under programs or services
Service coordination for treatment including referrals, ongoing communication
Implement treatment coordination
Secure Behavioral Health Funding for qualified recipients
Assessment Referral for Fee for Service (Commercial Insurance)
Substance Use Disorder community outreach and coordination
Ongoing outreach and care coordination with those that we serve
Maintain HIPPA compliance as related to Chemical Health guidelines
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Experience working for local government
Experience completing Comprehensive Chemical Health Assessments
Familiarity with DAANES, SSIS and MMIS systems
Experience working in a corrections setting
Knowledge of local treatment opportunities
SELECTION TECHNIQUE: Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top-scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.
HOURS / DAYS: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday with some optional night and weekend work opportunities. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RATE: $72,675.20-$99,153.60 Annually

Right to work PosterThe Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor will work closely with the Washington County Jail and the Adult Services team in Community Services in Washington County. The LADC Position will complete Comprehensive Chemical Health Assessments, offer Service Coordination for treatment, and complete referrals as needed. This position will also be part of a larger scale Community Outreach effort to engage with individuals and families that are in both high risk and underserved communities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Health or related field or equivalent, AND two years of experience as a License Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) licensure. Must have LADC licensure at time of hire.
Additional requirements for specific unit assignments will be identified when a vacancy occurs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The LADC will work in the Washington County Jail, in the office as needed for documentation, in the community/Outreach Van and at home, depending on program needs.
Semi-sedentary involving office and outside field work. Lifting requirement may include lifting up to 20 pounds. Exposures may include, but not be limited to, disagreeable odors, communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and behavior challenges. Use of general office equipment to include telephone, cell phone, pager, personal computer, laptop computer, electronic recorder, calculator, etc. Additional physical/mental requirements that occur may not be listed above but are inherent in performing the position's essential functions.
