The daily work can be as varied as the beautiful landscapes you will be working in – doorstep crime, counterfeiting, motor crime, weights and measures and consumer safety.The team conducts an annual programme of calibration at a major industrial site in the county. The team also administers the Safety Advisory Group so there will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in a variety of projects.Hybrid working is available for this position, with our offices located in Northallerton.Skills and ExperienceWe welcome applications from qualified trading standards officers with broad experience across multiple areas. However, if you're still working towards qualification, don't let that stop you. We're very happy to hear from applicants who have started the CTSI training programme or expect to qualify soon, and who bring practical experience from a Trading Standards setting.You will lead on complex investigations and provide guidance and mentoring to develop the team.
