It's a fast-paced team environment and the Emissions Technician is the next step towards more advanced positions. The role of Emissions Technician is to ensure customer receives complete service and perform required Emissions Inspections to his/her vehicle in a timely and professional manner and to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for customers.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities for a Emissions Technician:Provide services to customers following procedures and standards as outlined by management for Signature Service and ancillary services including, but not limited to:Perform Emissions Inspections per County requirementsAssist customers in making correct decisions for preventive maintenance needsDrain oil and replace filtersCheck and replace automotive fluids as directedTalk to customer and begin initial service requests by entering informationMake recommendations to customers, explaining additional services based on manufacturer's recommendationsComplete sales transactions when neededAssist with advertisingUnderstand and comply with OSHA and EPA standardsClean facility as directed to maintain the cleanliness and general repair of the shop and propertyBe available to work temporarily at nearby locationsFollow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or Jiffy Lube documentationOther duties as neededKnowledge and Skills:County Emissions and/or State Safety Inspection CertificationCustomer service experienceBasic computer skillsCash handling experienceHigh school diploma or GED preferredWork Environment:Exposed to outside weather conditionsWork in and around potentially moving vehiclesFrequently required to stand and walkDress and grooming standardsGet started today on an amazing tomorrow!
