We invite you to become part of our family and contribute to our ongoing success.Summary of Essential DutiesThe AOG Buyer is responsible for the urgent procurement of aircraft materials, components, tooling, equipment, and services required to support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and other critical maintenance requirements. This role ensures rapid sourcing and delivery of parts to minimize aircraft downtime while maintaining compliance with company procurement policies and aviation regulatory requirements. The AOG Buyer works closely with Maintenance Control, Engineering, Material Planning, and external suppliers to resolve operational disruptions quickly and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesProcure aircraft parts, components, tooling, equipment, and services to support AOG and urgent maintenance events.Process and manage purchase orders for aircraft and engine components required for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.Analyze purchase requisitions for completeness, urgency, and accuracy prior to issuing procurement actions.Issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to approved suppliers and evaluate vendor proposals based on price, availability, certification, and delivery time.Negotiate pricing and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement while meeting operational timelines.Expedite open orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical parts required to resolve AOG events.Track and monitor open purchase orders and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.Collaborate with Maintenance Planning, Material Planning, and Engineering to ensure correct parts are ordered for maintenance events.Review technical documentation such as Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Service Bulletins (SB), Engineering Orders (EO), and Airworthiness Directives (AD).Resolve discrepancies related to orders, certifications, invoices, warranty claims, and vendor documentation.Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support rapid sourcing during critical operational events.Ensure procurement activities comply with company purchasing policies and applicable regulatory requirements.Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
