This position focuses on building, maintenance, and assistance in flight testing prototype FPV systems. You’ll work closely with FPV Specialists and engineers to ensure that all equipment is prepared, tests are thoroughly documented, and act as Visual Observer in flight tests.ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate has strong FPV drone background, comfortable building a variety of drone sizes, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for UAV technology. This role plays a large part in advancing product reliability, streamlining flight test operations, and maintaining the performance of our drone fleet and equipment. Your responsibilities will include:R&D EquipmentBuild, repair, and maintain FPV drones and R&D test articlesAssist engineers with prototype assembly, wiring, and component integrationPerform soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly of FPV dronesSupport the maintenance and improvement of flight testing tools, equipment, and lab organizationTrack and organize R&D drones and partsFlight Operations & TestingPrepare, transport, and help set up drones and equipment for flight testsAssist FPV Specialists during flight testing as visual observer and ground supportRecord test notes, observations, and flight dataSupport smooth execution of test campaigns in field environmentsYou should have the followingStrong hands-on FPV drone build experienceKnowledge of betaflight and ESC softwareSkilled in soldering and mechanical assemblyAcro FPV drone pilotingStrong understanding of UAV componentsExcellent organizational and documentation skillsAbility to adapt in fast-paced environments and maintain focus under pressureStrong communication skills and attention to detailAbility to travel when neededNice to haveExperience building larger size FPV drones (10”, 13”, etc..)FAA Part 107 certificationExperience in CAD, drone design, 3d printingPID tuning and Blackbox analysisExpert FPV and LOS acro pilotUS Salary Range$80,000 - $90,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
