Associate Attorney
SUMMARY :A well-established law firm representing major domestic and international automobile manufacturers is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely from Georgia while handling sophisticated defense-side litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation in state and federal courts and be interested in developing expertise in product warranty, lemon law, and product liability defense matters involving automotive manufacturers and energy companies. This role provides significant hands-on experience and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners while developing strong litigation skills.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist with the defense of lemon law and breach of warranty litigation matters on behalf of automotive manufacturers.- Prepare case assessments and litigation strategies under partner supervision.- Draft and respond to written discovery.- Conduct legal research and draft motions and other pleadings.- Conduct and defend depositions.- Assist with trial preparation and case strategy.- Provide regular case updates and reporting to clients.- Handle a variety of litigation tasks from initial case evaluation through resolution.QUALIFICATION:- J.D. from an accredited law school.- Licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing.- 4-7 years of civil litigation experience (defense-side experience preferred).- Experience with motions practice, discovery, and depositions is a plus.- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.- Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a remote environment.- Interest in becoming licensed in additional Southeastern states is preferred.Additional Information- Some travel may be required for in-person court appearances or hearings, while many proceedings and depositions are conducted virtually.- The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits, 401(k), and paid time off.
