Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role The Material Handler II is an experienced warehouse employee versed in processes and needs minimal supervision in incoming vendor receipt, controlled storage of components within warehouse/stores locations, FIFO picking/kitting of materials for production job builds, timely response to production material needs, and shipment of finished goods to the customer. The individual is a “go-to” for other members of the team and cross-departmental/plant communication for problem resolution.Utilize, maintain, and develop Excel based inventory/labeling forms, templates, and trackersAbility to perform all major warehousing tasks: Receiving, Shipping, Job Picking, Store Job BreakdownProblem root causing and Resolution/Escalation knowledge for primary Oracle transaction types: PO Receipt, PO Return, PO Correction, Discrete Component Pick Release, Transact Move Orders, Sales Order Release, Part Receipt, Part Issue, Advanced Material Transactions AnalysisEnsure adherence to procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environmentAssist team members in the attainment of team goals by substituting and assisting in areas wherever neededConduct continuous improvement projects as neededConduct physical inventories as scheduledMonitor and improve the following measurements: 99% minimum inventory record accuracy, all transactions performed per established procedure on an accurate and timely basis as periodically set by the supervisor, response time for internal and external customers, and shipping related performance (impact on customer).Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.Required Skills & Qualifications Ability to obtain powered equipment license Safety focused, in particular around powered equipment 5+ years experience in material handling Manufacturing experience strongly desired Keen attention to detail, counting, organization, and quality Must have excellent vision and good hand-eye coordination Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs Professional and effective communication skills Excellent track record for attendance required Strong computer and inventory management skills Great attitude is a must!
