Community Manager

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Community Manager to lead operations at Brookland Manor Apartments, a 465-unit affordable housing community in Washington, DC. This is a high-impact leadership role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the complexities of affordable housing compliance, and is passionate about driving performance, team engagement, and resident satisfaction. Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations and overall community performance Ensure compliance with HUD and Project-Based Section 8 regulations Manage budgets, financial reporting, and occupancy/delinquency goals Lead, train, and develop on-site team members Drive leasing and marketing strategies Maintain property standards and oversee maintenance operations Deliver excellent customer service and manage resident relations Requirements: 3–5+ years of property management experience 3–5+ years in affordable housing (HUD/Project-Based Section 8 required) Strong compliance background DC Property Manager License required Proven leadership and financial management skills Proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and Microsoft Office Why Donaldson?
