Robotic Welding Technician / Programmer

Robotic Welding TechnicianOur client is looking for someone with good robotic welding skills. Your strengths may be in either programming or maintaining the welding robots. This role supports both production and engineering by combining hands-on technical troubleshooting with advanced programming and process improvement. The goal is to reduce rework, improve cycle times, and maintain high quality standards across all robotic welding operations. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.Company A major player in the agricultural equipment industryA growing $1.3 Billion multinational organization with over 5,000 employees.This location has several hundred team members.Production orders booked out for a year.Dynamic CEO who was promoted from within to lead the organization to new heights.Outstanding culture focused on safety and the growth of the individual.CommunityEducation: Access to high-quality public and private K-12 schools and tech-focused post-secondary institutions.Safety: Safe, family-friendly community with consistently low crime rates and strong public services.Recreation: Enjoy outdoor trails, lakes, youth sports, and weekend festivals in a close-knit, active community.Cost of Living: Significantly below national averagesmore house, savings, and quality of life for your dollar.Excellent benefits and compensation plan including:3% Employer match on 401KHealth, Vision, Dental insuranceTuition reimbursementPaid vacation and holidaysRelocation assistance if neededWhat you will be doing:Develop, implement, and optimize robotic welding programs for new and existing parts, including transitions from manual welding to robotic processesPerform initial tool and program runoffs, and collaborate with cross functional teams to validate and release parts into productionTroubleshoot robotic welding systems, debug programs, and respond to production support needs and service callsPerform equipment setup, preventative maintenance, and ongoing support for robotic welding cellsMonitor and improve welding cell performance, including cycle time calculations and efficiency trackingWork closely with Tooling Design and Manufacturing Engineering to develop new fixtures and improve existing onesIdentify opportunities for automation and recommend parts or processes suitable for robotic weldingCollaborate with Quality Assurance to investigate process failures, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvementRecommend design and process changes to improve manufacturability, cost, and overall performanceWhat they are looking for:High school diploma or GED required and 3+ years of experience in robotic welding within a manufacturing environment preferred OR associate's degree or technical diploma in robotic programming, welding technology, manufacturing, or a related field preferred and some experience in robotic welding within a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with robotic welding setup, programming, troubleshooting, and operation requiredExperience with robotic systems such as Fanuc, CLOOS, IGM, UR, or ABB robots strongly preferredAbility to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programming issuesExperience improving cycle times, reducing rework, and driving quality improvementsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication and ability to work cross functionally
