All of our programs are offered without discrimination to build a truly supportive ecosystem for families across the U.S.,Title Venture & Strategic Partnerships Associate (Volunteer – Pre-Seed Stage)Organization LoopRoots Foundation (in partnership with LoopTroop)Location Remote (U.S. preferred, Phoenix-based candidates a plus)Time Commitment 20–25 hours per weekAbout The OpportunityLoopRoots Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Venture & Strategic Partnerships Associate to support the expansion of our transportation access initiatives in partnership with LoopTroop, a for-profit rideshare platform designed to improve access for families impacted by incarceration.This role is ideal for someone interested in venture capital, startups, and social impact who wants hands-on experience in early-stage fundraising and growth strategy.LoopTroop and LoopRoots operate as separate entities. LoopRoots drives access through community programs, while LoopTroop provides the transportation platform and infrastructure. This role will support venture fundraising and strategic growth for the transportation platform while working closely with nonprofit-driven partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage a pipeline of venture capital firms, angel investors, and impact fundsConduct research on pre-seed and seed-stage investors aligned with mobility, logistics, and social impactSupport development and refinement of investor pitch materials and presentationsAssist with outreach strategy, email drafting, and meeting preparationIdentify and research strategic partnership opportunities (nonprofits, agencies, institutions)Help articulate the relationship between LoopTroop (for-profit) and LoopRoots Foundation (nonprofit) in investor-facing materialsTrack investor interactions, outreach progress, and follow-upsIdeal CandidateStrong interest in venture capital, startups, or fundraisingBackground in business, finance, entrepreneurship, consulting, or related fieldsExcellent research, writing, and communication skillsHighly organized and able to manage multiple workstreamsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiativeBonus Experience with pitch decks, financial modeling, or investor outreachWhat You’ll GainDirect exposure to venture capital fundraising and investor relationsHands-on experience working with a founder on a pre-seed/seed-stage raiseInsight into building a venture-backed transportation platformOpportunity to contribute to a mission-driven initiative with national impactLetter of recommendation and potential for future paid or equity-based roleHow To ApplyPlease submitResume or LinkedIn profileShort note (3–5 sentences) explaining your interest in venture capital and this roleAdditional InformationThis is a volunteer role through LoopRoots Foundation.
