Heavy Equipment Maintenance Division Manager – Yellow Iron"Lead the equipment that drives production."At Holliday Rock, our Heavy Equipment Maintenance Division Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring our Yellow Iron fleet and plant equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably across all locations. In addition, this role will drive the strategy for the department, including purchasing, repurposing of equipment, supporting of other key departments, including Operations, and leads teams that keep our business moving.If you are a hands-on leader with a strong strategic mindset, operational and technical expertise, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact across a multi-site organization.What You'll Do:Lead Maintenance OperationsOversee all maintenance and repair activities for Yellow Iron and plant equipmentDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtimeEstablish and standardize maintenance procedures and best practices across all sitesEnsure Safety & ComplianceMaintain compliance with OSHA, MSHA (where applicable), EPA, and all regulatory requirementsLead safety initiatives, inspections, audits, and root-cause investigationsEnsure accurate documentation for inspections, audits, and reportingBuild & Develop TeamsLead, mentor, and develop maintenance managers, supervisors, and techniciansDrive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across multiple locationsSupport workforce planning, coaching, and succession developmentManage Budget & CostsOversee maintenance budgets, forecasting, and capital planningOptimize labor, parts inventory, rebuild strategies, and vendor usageNegotiate and manage vendor and service contractsPartner with OperationsCollaborate with Operations and Plant leadership to align maintenance with production goalsSupport shutdowns, rebuilds, and major repair planningRespond to critical equipment issues to minimize downtimeDrive Data & PerformanceTrack and analyze key metrics such as downtime, availability, and repair costsUtilize CMMS systems to identify trends and improve equipment reliabilityImplement data-driven process improvementsOversee Assets & FacilitiesManage maintenance shops, yards, tooling, and support facilitiesMaintain lifecycle records, rebuild histories, and asset utilization dataSupport long-term fleet planning and capital investment strategiesLead Continuous ImprovementEvaluate and implement new maintenance technologies and strategiesImprove equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiencyBenchmark performance against industry standardsHow You Make an ImpactYou will directly influence:Equipment uptime and production efficiencyMaintenance cost control and asset longevitySafety performance across operationsTeam development and operational consistencyWhat You Bring:5+ years of progressive leadership experience in heavy equipment or Yellow Iron maintenanceStrong knowledge of loaders, excavators, dozers, haul trucks, crushers, and plant equipmentProven experience managing budgets, rebuild programs, and vendor relationshipsStrong understanding of OSHA, MSHA, and environmental compliance standardsExperience with CMMS and equipment management systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceAbility to travel regularly (approximately 45–65%)Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordWhy Join Holliday Rock:Competitive executive-level compensationMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off, Holidays, and Sick TimeWeekly Pay with Direct DepositLeadership visibility and impact across the organizationOpportunity to shape maintenance strategy and drive long-term successWork Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimarily office-based with frequent travel to operational sites.Exposure to active maintenance shops and production environments.Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
