For better public health’s infrastructure DevSecOps is one of the foundational cornerstones that will enable the modernization of public health data to action. These position covers the provisioning and operations of an Enterprise Class service to be provided for all client investments for agile capability delivery all the way to deployments. The DevSecOps team will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the ecosystem of public health. The team is pivotal to guide programs to get code into known code repositories and only deploying through known pipelines and including code scanning in build processes to get to continuous authorization. Their mission is to expedite the process of continuous building, continuous assessment, and continuous learning.Responsibilities:Help streamline the software development life cycle, from requirements to release.Incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up our clients’ developers to do what they do best—create.Work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting.Design, build, and maintain platforms for developers to accelerate critical missions.This is an opportunity to sharpen your skills in the latest automation, infrastructure, and cloud-based development while developing software that will make a mission-forward impact.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience with the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across software development life cycle environments.3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Azure or AWS platforms.Experience with the computing, storing, networking, and management of Kubernetes offerings.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and industry best practices.Ability to write Bash scripts from scratch.Preferred Additional Qualifications:Experience with creating and improving continuous deployment tools.Experience with triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in cloud environments.Experience with supporting enterprise-level Linux systems on U.S. government IT implementations.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling, including Terraform.Experience with GitHub Actions.Experience scripting in Python, NodeJS, Go or similar languages.Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance.Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.Azure, AWS, Kubernetes Certifications.Scripting experience in Python, NodeJS, Go or similar languages such as Docker and Kubernetes.Security, Salary, and Benefits:Must be a US Citizen or have the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance (Public Trust 5) within a reasonable period.Market competitive salary commensurate with experience and education.Comprehensive benefits packages are available, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), and 401K with company match, growth, and promotion opportunities.
