Job DescriptionOn Site Project Manager Job Overview:We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented On-Site Project Manager. This team member will coordinate on-site activities and communications to provide a safe, high quality project that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations. The team member will be the single point of contact on the job site for a customers, interacting with the general contractor, steel erector and miscellaneous steel provider to coordinate work and deliveries. This is a 100% travel position with temporary assignments to various project sites during steel erection.The Company:My client is a historic strucutral steel fabricator targeting large commercial, educational, medical, and municipal projects from 1K-20K tons. They operate along the entire east coast and as far west as Illinois and Indiana.Roles and Responsibilities:Oversee subcontractors' activities at the jobsiteReport on progress at the jobsiteCoordinate communication between the subcontractors at the jobsite and the project managerProblem solve issues to maintain scheduleAttend jobsite meetings with the general contractor - acting as Company representativeIdentify and raise issues before they become criticalCoordinate deliveries and receiving of products at the jobsiteDesired Traits:Project Management training and/or experienceWorking knowledge of computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office applicationsWorking knowledge of structural steel related codes and specificationsWorking knowledge of OSHA's standard for construction safetyExperience working for or working with structural steel erectorsEducation/Training/ExperienceBachelors degree in a construction focused field, OR 5 years of experience in the steel construction industry or related fieldIf this sounds like a role you would like to explore, please submit your resume here or reach out directly to Jake Lord jake.lord@gogpac.com
