Physical Therapist in Cameron, AZ

Provide expert physical therapy services to a diverse patient population at a regional healthcare center serving a wide area including Navajo and Hopi Reservations. This role is vital in managing and implementing a comprehensive Physical Therapy program focused on preventing or treating physical disabilities and diseases.Key Responsibilities:Conduct physical therapy evaluations and provide treatment for inpatients and outpatients across all age groups, including newborns through geriatrics.Offer specialty services such as wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinics, geriatric and high school clinics, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, assistive technology assessments, and durable medical equipment management.Lead development and oversight of the physical therapy department, including quality improvement initiatives, risk management, policy adherence, and staff education.Participate in Joint Commission preparations, staff meetings, and in-service training.Fulfill all Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.Valid, unrestricted Physical Therapy license from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico throughout employment.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.Eligibility to be credentialed on the Medical Staff with all required documentation.Successful fingerprint clearance prior to start.Location: Situated in Cameron, Arizona, this position offers the unique opportunity to serve a culturally rich and diverse community on the Colorado Plateau. The community includes Native American Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes alongside Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations, fostering a welcoming and diverse culture.Additional Information:Orientation sessions held every two weeks.COVID-19 and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted upon submission of a declination form.Housing application must be submitted at least two weeks prior to start date.Fingerprinting clearance is mandatory.
