Applications Specialist (Enterprise Applications)
We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our Applications team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise web applications while also supporting and integrating third-party platforms such as ServiceNow and the Microsoft Power Platform.This position is ideal for a well-rounded developer who is comfortable working independently, collaborating within a team, and communicating effectively with both technical peers and senior management. The role includes hands-on development, system integration, and participation in ongoing application modernization efforts.This position is based at our headquarters in Springfield, IL and is an in-office position (No remote availability).Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance enterprise web applications using ASP.NET Web FormsWrite, maintain, and optimize SQL Server queries, views, and stored proceduresConfigure, integrate, and support third-party enterprise platformsCollaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environmentsEnsure applications follow established best practices for security, performance, and maintainabilityCommunicate technical concepts, risks, and progress to senior managementContribute to technical documentation and team knowledge sharingRequired Qualifications5+ years of professional application development experienceExperience with ASP.NET Web FormsProficiency in C# and the .NET FrameworkExperience configuring, integrating, and supporting third-party software platformsWorking knowledge of SQL Server (queries, views, stored procedures; DBA experience not required)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pace environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamQualifications that will make you a Stronger CandidateExperience with ASP.NET Core and Razor PagesExposure to or hands-on experience with Microsoft AzureExposure to or hands-on experience with Microsoft Power PlatformFamiliarity with modernizing or refactoring legacy applicationsExperience with source control and modern development workflowsSuccess KeysSelf-motivated with strong problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented mindset with a collaborative approachComfortable working with changing priorities and evolving requirementsProfessional presence and ability to interact with senior leadershipOrganization Structure and InterfacesThe LRS IT team consists of a Chief Information Officer, Director of IT, Director of Applications, Director of Information Security, and teams for networking, infrastructure, cloud, communications, end-user services, and applications. The team is based in Springfield, IL and manages the global operations at LRS. You will report to the Chief Information Officer.Salary Range$80,000–$100,000 annually plus paid overtime and full benefits.
