Our work environment includes: Modern office setting International workforce On-the-job training Safe work environment Job Summary: As an IT Systems Engineer at Cloud MSG, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems and networks. Key Responsibilities: System Design and Implementation: Collaborate with IT architects to design and deploy scalable and secure IT systems, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization solutions. Must have the availability to travel onsite (the greater Richmond area) for remediation and project work. Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Server Administration: Administer and support Windows server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Project Work: Such as server virtualization, Cloud integrations, Network infrastructure builds, and implementing best practices. Network Management: Configure and manage network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure optimal network performance and security. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, conduct regular security assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and systems. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and resolve complex IT issues efficiently. Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to procure hardware, software, and services as needed. Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability. And other duties as required Qualifications: IT Networking Support: 6 years (Required) Windows Server environment: 3 years (Required) Valid Drivers License Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Knowledge and proficiency in administration of RMM tools such as ConnectWise Automate would be desired. System Administration experience with Azure AD & Google workspace Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V) Proficiency in network administration and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) specific knowledge of Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti platforms would be desired. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
