Details Works on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a strong oncology focus Patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, soft tissue malignancy management, symptom management, and comorbidity management with a heavy emphasis on infection prevention and fall prevention protocols Patient ratio is 1:4 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) Shift assignments are on a rotating Day/Night basis and are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing needs Special equipment includes GE B450 telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Epic EMR experience is required Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity Requirements Active OH or Compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required Required skills: dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, IV insertion, assistance with chest tube insertion/removal, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation Previous travel nursing experience preferred Oncology experience preferred but not required Additional Information Continuous cardiac monitoring is a core component of patient care on this unit No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs) All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-691876.
