This position will act as a key member of the emergency response team.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on equipment in work areaRecommend and maintain stock of spare partsImplement improvements to work area and processesResponsible for advanced troubleshooting, repairing and modifying manual and automated etch benches, chemical management system (CMS), fume scrubber, ultrasonic parts cleaning systems to POR conditions.Works with engineering on test plans and approval requests for non-POR process conditions.Act as a key member of the facility emergency response teamMaintain knowledge of current regulations and best practices related to emergency preparednessInterfaces with chemical equipment Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to coordinate equipment improvementsInvolved in specification and purchase of cleaning capital equipment.Equipment specialist for all cleaning related process and facilities equipment including Mixed Acid Etch Bench (MAEB), HF Bench, Crest Cleaners, Scrubbers and the CMS.Act as a team leader in spill clean-up and bench repairFollow all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to Manufacturing Manager, EHS Manager, and/ or Director of ManufacturingAssist in the application of Lean manufacturing concepts including 5S and TPMPerform tasks/duties related to special projects or assignmentsPerform other duties as assigned by department managementDrive TPM throughout cleaning operationsCultureDisplay a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Must be a high school graduate or have a general education degree (GED)Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience requiredMust be able to successfully complete a respirator physical and become certified in respirator useExperience supporting chemical processing equipment including but not limited to acid etch, caustic etch, and platingKnowledge of and experience with chemical handling safety precautions and safe work practices related to maintenance activities is requiredClean room, electrical power, and electronic control system experience is preferredAbility to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timelinessAbility to wear a respirator and meet OSHA respirator compliance obligationsAbility to define, initiate, manage, and execute on projects to improve tool functions and metricsAbility to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment, prioritize tasks, and plan for maintenance is essentialAbility to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsAbility to read and comprehend piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distanceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsMust be able to work effectively individually and in a team environmentMust be able to pay close attention to detailsMust be able to perform successfully under minimum supervisionMust be able to operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, scissor lift, powered walk behind)Robotic and automated handling systems experienceMust be able to solve ill-defined problems logically and with interpretationB Shift: 6am - 6pmPhysical DemandsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
