Construction Manager - AviationWork Location: Nashville, TNSalary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interviewDuties/Responsibilities:Manages the construction/project management of multiple, complex projects at an international airportMonitors execution of construction project's technical requirementsStrong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements for projectsResolves field issues and responds to Requests of InformationResponsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of constructionCoordinates, directs, and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesManages project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures or as required by the clientConducts project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant informationEnsures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipmentProvides management of project logistics, organization, and safetyEnsures project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner, including closeout requirementsEnsures project team adheres to safety requirementsPerforms other duties as required to ensure project successEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Manager and an additional 3 years of experience as a Senior Construction Manager supervising staff is requiredExperience with public projects is requiredExperience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plusStrong oral and written communication skills are requiredKnowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are requiredStrong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are requiredAbility to handle multiple contractors and multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously is requiredRegistration as an Architect, Professional Engineer, and/or licensed as a General Contractor is preferredCertified Construction Manager preferredBenefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.A supportive and collaborative work environment.
