Process Technician (2nd shift)
Ensure all process equipment work areas are clean and free from safety hazards
Ensure that all process equipment is operational and functioning properly at start of shift.
Maintain all process equipment daily per startup and shutdown procedures, ODS, checklists and PMs as required
Monitor product quality and process control parameters per operating instructions and control plans. Make adjustments and document as required.
Complete Job Setup information daily at shift change, mold change startup, or startup after downtime.
Make provisions to ensure that all PMs on the process equipment are completed in a timely manner.
Waste handling of process waste as required. Ensure proper disposal of chemical waste material as per documented environmental waste management procedures.
Coordinate team and assist during production line changes including tool changes, process parameter changes, and material change over.
Assist Supervisor in daily production coordination as required
Mentor team members in first level process troubleshooting per start-up/shutdown procedures, ODS, checklist, and PM's as required
Facilitate communication between shift technicians regarding process improvements and troubleshooting activities
KEY MEASURES for this role: (Included but not limited to)
On-time start-ups, shift net/gross ratio for first rotation, PM completion rate documentation accuracy per internal/external audits, and tool change times
Skills:
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience completing mold changes.
1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience as plastic process technician.
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Systematic Molding Training.
Master Molder 1 and 2 Training.
3 – 5 years mold change experience.
Experience with programming automation.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma with at least 2 year automotive related experience.
A strong back ground in injection molding
Mold set up and process issue resolution
Knowledge of injection molding grade materials and their relation to the injection molding product and process. Process optimization both on the injection molding side as well as de-molding automation. Experience in tooling relative to process
