Class A CDL Driver - Yard Prep

South Coast Lumber Co. & Affiliates is looking for a qualified CDL driver for yard labor to properly load and unload wood products. Report To Transportation Manager Schedule Home Daily - Day Shift - 5 AM - 5 PM QUALIFICATIONS Valid Class "A" CDL License (Required) Current DOT Medical Card (Required) Incident Free Driving Record (Preferred) Commercial Driving Experience: 1 Year (Preferred) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Follow all company and DOT safety policies and procedures. Communicate respectfully and effectively, report any problems/damage/accidents promptly to the transportation manager. Perform pre- and post-inspections of truck and trailer. Take proper care of company vehicles and equipment. Complete efficient and timely deliveries according to the designated route and schedule provided by the transportation manager. Properly fill out all required paperwork. Ensure loads are properly secured and hauled to and from loading/unloading sites. Maintain cleanliness of trailer. Loading and unloading wood products, tarping when necessary, throwing and pulling straps to requirements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Able to work without direct supervision. Able to work in various weather conditions. Able to work a flexible schedule consisting of potential overtime.
