Job SummaryThe delivery system practiced at FHN Memorial Hospital employs the concepts of differentiated nursing incorporating the PRIDE Standards as set forth by FHN. Responsibilities for delegated patient care activities under the direction of licensed professionals, for an identified patient population.Job ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates clinical competency in providing age specific care to patients in designated areas of practice.Provide activities of daily living- feeding, hygiene, bed making, and ambulation.Restocking of supplies-Specimen collectionPerform diagnostic measures of BGM and 12-lead EKG.Therapeutic measures- vital signs, cold/heat therapies, etc.Responds to customer requests/concerns.Displays competency for the Certified Nurse Assistant role as evidenced in the annual performance appraisal following the FHN PRIDE Standards.Other duties may be assigned.Machine/Equipment/Software UsageElectric Lift, Manual Lift, Sit/Stand lift DailyEKG Machine DailyBlood Glucose Monitoring Equipment DailyElectric beds, Bed Scales, Bed and Chair Alarms DailyAE & Cryo Cuffs DailyBladder Scanner DailyCardiac Monitor DailyRequirementsEducation: Successfully completed CNA course and BLS requiredRequired Experience:. and zero to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification Required.Populations Served:While performing this job, the employee may care for patients in the following age groups.Neonate:No responsibility to treat or care for patients.
