As a Barista, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced and fun-loving environment. With 11 locations across Houston, we are a community-driven establishment where people gather to bond over good food, extraordinary pastries, and custom cakes. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to learn quickly Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods Must be able to multitask Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred Duties & Responsibilities: Provide quick, friendly, and excellent customer service to ensure all guests have a memorable and pleasant dining experience at Common Bond Prepare and serve beverages according to customer requests/needs Engage with and understand our guests, including discovering and responding to guests' needs through effective and clear communication Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils Prepare the bar and lounge for morning, afternoon, and evening service Help clean the customer area, including wiping the bar counter and mopping Describe promotions and new products to customers Ensure customer service stations are well stocked Running food and drinks to customers in a timely fashion Notifying a direct supervisor if a customer has a complaint Rolling silverware Inform management of any foreseeable shortages before items run out Maintain clean restrooms, check every half hour Keep doors and windows clean and free of handprints Rotating stock using the FIFO method Maintain good attendance and punctuality Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security Prepare and package food and beverages to our high-quality standard recipes Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift There may be additional duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for this job Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Referral program Paid training Tips Common Bond Cafe is an equal opportunity employer of all qualified individuals.
