Director of Financial Reporting

Unity Search has partnered with an oil and gas company for this newly created role! They are seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to lead and oversee the company’s corporate accounting and financial reporting functions.This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for managing all internal and external financial reports, overseeing monthly corporate accounting, technical accounting oversight and managing key accounting policies. This position offers strong visibility to senior leadership within a growing, well-capitalized organization.Highlights:Ownership of the accounting and financial reporting functions100% employer-paid medical benefits for employees and dependents401k plus a company match to 6%Daily catered lunchHybrid schedule with Fridays being WFHCollaborative culture with foosball, ping pong, dartsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting.CPA required.10+ years’ accounting experience with at least 5-6 years in corporate accounting and financial reporting for public companies.Experience with FASB, SEC and other governing body requirements including research and interpretation of such rules and regulations.Strong computer and excel skills.Strong communication and writing skills.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Proficiency in Financial Reporting Systems (for example, Workiva)Experience with oil and gas accounting software (for example, Enertia).Strong understanding of oil and gas accounting.
