Candidates must hold a valid Georgia teaching certification in MIDDLE GRADES (4-8) - LANGUAGE ARTS (FLD853)The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence, while supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development during this critical early learning stage.The ideal candidate will create a structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that fosters foundational skill development, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Strong classroom management, differentiated instruction, and a commitment to student growth are essential.If you are a certified educator who is passionate about shaping young learners and contributing to a collaborative school community, we encourage you to apply and explore the opportunities at TMSA.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university (Conferred)Certification/LicensureMust hold or be eligible to hold a Georgia Professional Standards Commission certificate in Middle Grades (4-8) - Language ArtsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Adhere to all Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES) standardsProvides content-related and appropriate instruction based on TMSA’s curriculum programsIntegrates appropriate technology into classroom instructionNurture an academically rich and positive classroom environment that promotes active scholar learning and development in the subject areaExhibits knowledge of performance-based instructions and assessmentCommunicates responsibly with all students, parents, colleagues, and school leadershipFacilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephone calls, and sending email/written communicationsWorks with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student's educational programAdhere to all SPED, SST, 504, IEP plans and accommodations for scholarsPrepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absentAccounts for student attendance and punctualityFollows all county, state, and federal policies, and procedureFollows professional ethics in all work-related activitiesAvoid behaviors that detract from staff moraleSupport TMSA goals, initiatives, programs, and processesOther duties as deemed necessary by the Principal or Assistant PrincipalsSkills and Knowledge:Experienced in collaborating with teacher teams and adapting work to the needs of colleagues and studentsDemonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to utilize technology for communication and instructionDemonstrate organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervisionKnowledge and experience using technology for communication, data analysis, gathering and organizing information for presentationsWorking knowledge of current research and resources in content areasMaintain confidentiality and adhere to Family Education Rights and Privacy (FERPA) requirements.
