Software Engineer - Auth0/AuthZ (Java)
Overview
In this role you will build and operate the Access & Governance Platform that underpins New Relic’s authentication and authorization. You will help scale login, SSO, token issuance, and fine-grained access controls across accounts and organizations. You will partner with product, design, and engineering to tackle complex IAM use cases and improve reliability, data integrity, and security in production. You will also own on-call incident response and develop runbooks to prevent future issues. This is a chance to shape security-critical infrastructure that enables the whole platform to function securely at scale.

ResponsibilitiesBuild and operate authentication services including SSO (SAML, OIDC) and OAuth2/OIDC token issuanceManage session and token lifecycle, and SCIM-based user provisioningDevelop APIs and tooling for engineering teams to manage user data and access controlsCollaborate with product management, design, and engineering to solve complex IAM use casesParticipate in on-call rotation, triage incidents, and create runbooks from resolutionsInvestigate and fix production reliability, data integrity, and security issues
