Power Electronics Test & Validation Engineer | Austin, TX | Hybrid flexibilityStelvio is supporting a fast-growing advanced engineering business looking to add a Power Electronics Test & Validation Engineer to its Austin team.This is a highly hands-on laboratory position, working across Engineering, Test & Integration, and Manufacturing. You’ll take ownership of testing and debugging power conversion hardware -building test benches, validating performance, troubleshooting failures, and supporting products through development and manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Build and operate power electronics test benchesTest AC/DC, DC/AC, and DC/DC power conversion systemsMeasure voltage, current, power, efficiency, switching behavior, thermal performance, and EMITroubleshoot hardware and diagnose field failuresConduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actionsCreate test plans, procedures, and technical documentationSupport engineering and manufacturing teams with hardware-related issuesWe’re looking for:A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related fieldPractical or academic experience with power electronicsUnderstanding of common power converter topologiesConfidence reading schematics and component data sheetsHands-on use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and similar equipmentStrong hardware troubleshooting skillsAn understanding of high-voltage electrical safetyExperience with motor drives, PCB design, soldering, LabVIEW, or high-power test environments would be particularly valuable.The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, stock options, potential relocation support, and the opportunity to work on advanced electrification technology moving into a significant stage of commercial growth.
