Our own in-house software developers continually improve the flow of information we need to do our daily jobsJob SummaryThe Final Inspector is responsible for performing final inspections on precision machined components and assembled subcomponents to ensure conformance with aerospace customer specifications, engineering drawings, and AS9100 quality standards. This role verifies dimensional accuracy specifications using tools such as calipers, micrometers and other gauges, as well as verification of surface finish requirements, documentation compliance, and proper assembly of components prior to shipment. The Final Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction in an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.Duties/Responsibilities Perform final inspection of precision machined components and assemblies prior to shipment. Conducts visual and dimensional tests to ensure quality of finished products. Determines and uses appropriate inspection processes to confirm assigned products and parts meet specifications. Documents measured results of machining operations. Prepares paperwork and reports documenting inspection findings. Performs other related duties as assigned. Communicate quality concerns in real time with the Quality Manager and various departments such as production and engineering to ensure low rework. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Execute other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors. Acknowledge and follow company policies as laid out in the employee handbook. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100 requirements.Required Skills/Abilities Extensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment. Extensive knowledge of machining and machining processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education And Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ of experience as a quality control inspector required. ISO 9000 or AS9100 experience preferred.Job Conditions/Physical RequirementsWork performed in factory settings.Exposure to manufacturing environment such as noise, dust and the outdoors.Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, negotiate a flight of stairs and move about facilities.Must be able to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).Personal CharacteristicsCandidate must be driven to deliver results with the ability to establish rapport, earn trust, and effectively collaborate with others.
