We design and produce FIROTHERM™ panelized building-envelope systems that improve building performance through automation, off-site manufacturing, and continuous insulation.As we scale production, we are expanding our automation team and looking for technically inclined operators to grow with us.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site PLC Machine Operator / Automation Technician role based in Binghamton, NYYou will operate and support PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, including our primary molding line (TH10Prior experience on this specific machine is not required—training and mentorship will be provided. The ideal candidate has a PLC background, understands how automated systems work, and can learn complex machine operations quickly.Responsibilities include operating equipment, monitoring performance, troubleshooting PLC-, electrical-, and mechanical issues, and working with engineering to optimize production while maintaining safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor PLC-controlled manufacturing equipmentLearn full TH10 machine operation through hands-on trainingRead and interpret PLC ladder logic and HMI interfacesTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issuesPerform basic maintenance and sensor replacementsAssist with commissioning and automation improvementsMaintain production logs and follow safety proceduresQualificationsExperience working with PLC-controlled machinery (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar)Ability to read ladder logic and basic control schematicsManufacturing or industrial experience preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsComfortable working hands-on with live equipmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training a plus
