Warehouse Clerk

Summary/objectiveWarehouse workers responsibilities include receiving materials, picking and packing orders and preparing orders for various ways of shipment. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe environment.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Assist in shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandisePrepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery areaSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standardsMaintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventoryMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep.
