The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing my client's ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems, as well as leading internal and external audits in compliance with these standards.Client DetailsA well-established, growth-oriented precision manufacturer headquartered in Southeast Wisconsin is conducting a confidential search for a Quality Manager. The company produces engineered metal components and assemblies serving industrial, automotive, structural, and emerging markets across multiple facilities. The organization is privately held and in an active phase of operational and quality systems development.DescriptionOwn the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System across two primary manufacturing facilities.Lead and develop a team of quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, and technicians; build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Serve as the technical quality resource for engineered metal products, understanding how the company's offerings support customer requirements across multiple end markets.Manage incoming material inspection, in-process monitoring, and finished goods inspection to ensure conformance to customer, internal, and regulatory requirements.Own calibration and accuracy programs for all monitoring and measurement devices.Lead customer quality relationships - corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, CAPA), complaint resolution, and customer audit support.Manage supplier quality including performance monitoring, audits, and corrective action.Support product development activities with quality engineering rigor - FMEAs, control plans, MSA, and process validation.Report to the President on QMS performance, audit results, KPIs, and improvement roadmaps.Conduct management review meetings and maintain all ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 documentation requirements.ProfileBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.4+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and or IATF 16949 - system ownership, audit leadership, and corrective action management.Working knowledge of engineered metal products and metal manufacturing processes (stamping, cold forming, machining, or similar).Proven experience with PPAPs, APQP, FMEAs, control plans, MSA, and SPC.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.Strong leadership presence with a track record of developing technical teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems.Job OfferBase salary $105,000 - $120,000Annual bonus incentives - 5-10%3 Weeks PTO + company holidaysComprehensive health benefits through BCBS401k program with employer matchOpportunities for tuition reimbursementMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
