The ideal candidate has experience operating laser cutting equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. If you enjoy handson work in a fastpaced environment, we'd love to hear from you.Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprintsDetermines gas type, nozzle size, and focus of lens based on material type and thickness.Sets up, adjusts, and operates a computer-controlled laser cutting machine.Makes adjustments as neededCreates inspection sheetsInspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection dataPerforms daily and weekly maintenance as it relates to laser cutting equipmentPrograms using priority dispatchCleans and organizes work areaOther duties may be assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; technical certificate or 6+ months related experience preferred.Able to read and understand basic instructions, memos, and manuals.Able to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with team members.Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages.Strong commonsense reasoning; able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions.Able to troubleshoot routine problems using standard procedures.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawlAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionallyVisual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWork EnvironmentExposure to moving mechanical partsExposure to fumes or airborne particlesNoise level is usually moderateAll required PPE must be worn in designated areas; Safety is our top priority!Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our workforce.
