This role is suited for a designer who is comfortable leading interior design efforts within an architectural practice, managing projects through all phases, and working closely with architects, consultants, clients, and vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong design thinking along with the technical knowledge and organizational skills needed to guide projects from early concept through construction and installation. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects and help manage the day-to-day coordination required to move work forward.ResponsibilitiesLead interior design efforts across multiple projects from concept through constructionDevelop space planning, finish palettes, and material selectionsPrepare construction drawings, detailing, and specificationsProduce presentation materials, renderings, and design documentationCoordinate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client teamsParticipate in client meetings and design presentationsConduct site visits and construction phase coordination to maintain design intentAssist with project scheduling, team coordination, and overall project managementDevelop furniture plans and specifications, and coordinate procurement processesWork with furniture dealers and manufacturers to select, specify, and implement furnishings that align with project goals and budgetsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited institutionApproximately 15+ years of professional experienceExperience working within an architecture or integrated architecture/interior design practice preferredStrong working knowledge of construction standards, detailing, specifications, and building codesExperience developing furniture plans, specifications, and budgetsFamiliarity with furniture procurement processes and coordination with furniture vendors and dealersProficiency with: Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with team members, consultants, and clientsPreferred ExperienceNCIDQ certification, or currently pursuing certificationProject experience in workplace and multifamily environmentsStrong visualization and rendering abilitiesAbout 10k Architecture10K Architecture offers salaries commensurate with experience, along with:Flexible paid time offSIMPLE IRA retirement plan with firm matching up to 3% of employee compensationGroup medical and dental insurance plansOpportunities for professional growth within a collaborative studio environment View your Application History
