OverviewRegistered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in Amsterdam, NY. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Pay range $1,735 per week – $1,897 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (Med Surg). This is a travel - temporary assignment.Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,735 per week – $1,897 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts Start date: 06/01/2026 Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Med Surg Local traveler option: within 50 miles accepted with bill-rate adjustment; block scheduling not guaranteedResponsibilities Provide direct patient care to Med Surg patients, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, and response to changes in condition Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders, with adherence to safety and infection control protocols Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, case managers, and allied health staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record, including vitals, assessments, interventions, and patient responses Assist with discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordination of post-acute care needsRequirements Active New York State Registered Nurse license Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience At least 1 year of travel nursing experience Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and adapt to scheduling variability; block scheduling not guaranteed Must meet facility and regulatory requirements for Med Surg nursing practiceBenefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Credentialing and onboarding assistance Dedicated support throughout the assignment Extension opportunities when mutually agreedFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore additional openings, you can view other opportunities available at Healthforce Healthcare LLC: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
