The Colonial Inn, a seasonal 62-room hotel located on Shore Road in Ogunquit, is seeking a thoughtful, caring, and empathetic Assistant General Manager to make our hotel special. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) oversees all aspects of property management including maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development. Additionally, this position will foster the culture of The Colonial Inn throughout the Ogunquit business community. The AGM oversees all aspects of our front desk and reservations department while managing the day to day operation of our 62-room hotel. The AGM is also expected to cover front desk shifts on occasion, based on departmental needs. This position is well suited for individuals that are highly motivated, skilled in all areas of a hotel’s operation and want to make an impact on the hotel industry in Ogunquit. Role and Responsibilities Leads, inspires, and coaches a team that delivers a service of excellence, while upholding the Colonial Inn's brand standards Responsible for the sustained growth in revenue and profits of the hotel within the established business plan and budget Collaborate with the General Manager on thoughtful sales and marketing strategies that drive occupancy and rates Cultivate a fruitful and beneficial relationship with all key stakeholders that support our business Ensure rigorous knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures What you bring to the table: 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry 1+ years of management experience overseeing multiple departments Commitment to embodying our values Knowledge of how to do the right things always- using sound judgment- even when no one is looking Seeing opportunities where others haven’t- and creating opportunities others wish they’d thought of first Proficient knowledge of relevant software systems and processes English fluency Relevant Ogunquit, ME area experience preferred but not required Benefits As a valued member of our team, you will be eligible for the various benefits: Medical, vision and dental insurance FSA and Dependent Care plans 11 days Paid vacation after six months employment.
