Commercial Banking Team Leader
SUMMARY: This role will serve as the first point of contact and supervision for a team of relationship managers for commercial lending, treasury management and small business lending. This role will be responsible for coaching team members in sales technique, problem resolution, credit analysis and performance management. Additionally, this role will have its own individual production and referral goals as part of business development and maintenance of client relationships.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:Lead and coach a team of lending personnel in Commercial Lending, Small Business and Treasury ManagementProvide significant input towards production goal setting, performance management and recruitment/hiringActively participate as a permanent member of Executive Loan CommitteePrepare and present reports detailing team and individual goals/achievements as necessaryServe as a point of contact regarding client issues and or questions from clients and/or subordinatesSell business products and services to commercial customers and prospects as opportunities occur or required by management, typically through personal calling efforts or internal/external referralsAnalyze credit worthiness of commercial borrowers to decision requests within assigned loan authority or make recommendations for extending credit on requests exceeding such authorityProvide approval authority for Commercial Loan requests generated from Retail that are not eligible for Scored UnderwritingMonitor risk in loan portfolio to identify changes and take appropriate action to minimize credit riskEffectively manage collateral and documentation exceptionsMaintain portfolio delinquency at levels acceptable to managementCross-sell other Bank services to existing and prospective customers.Serve on internal committees as requiredInteract with operational and technical areas to resolve problemsAdhere to all appropriate service standardsAssist in the preparation of legal documents for loan closingsDraft sales proposals, commitment letters, and make sales presentations to clients and prospectsComplete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this positionEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor degree in Business Administration or FinanceMinimum of eight (8) years of experience in commercial lendingKnowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research, and Outlook is expectedAbility to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writingE-Verify is used to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.Farmers National Banc Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteran
