Maintenance Team Leader The Maintenance Team Leader at 84 Lumber is responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for all production associates within the component manufacturing division. This position works closely with Plant Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to support plant operations, maintain equipment reliability, and uphold company safety standards. The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures, overseeing equipment installation and relocation projects, supporting new plant startups, and controlling maintenance-related expenses. A primary focus of this role is ensuring that the preventative maintenance program at each plant meets or exceeds 84 Lumber standards and expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Travel to division plant locations outside of the home plant, typically two weeks per month Supervise and coordinate the installation, setup, and relocation of plant equipment Evaluate, train, mentor, and support Maintenance Supervisors and maintenance personnel Partner with Plant Managers to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations Provide troubleshooting support and solutions for specialty maintenance issues Research, analyze, cost, and recommend equipment purchases and operational improvements Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices across multiple facilities Communicate regularly with division leadership, plant management, and maintenance teams Ensure preventative maintenance programs are properly executed and maintained at all plants Monitor maintenance expenses and support company cost-control initiatives Promote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA compliance standards Required Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, manufacturing equipment, and plant operations Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Ability to quickly diagnose operational and equipment issues and implement effective solutions Experience training and developing maintenance personnel Proficiency in spreadsheet, internet, and word processing software Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Ability to travel frequently and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Benefits: Full benefits a (medical, dental, vision) Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays 401(k) with company match + profit sharing Monthly performance bonuses Employee discounts Career advancement opportunities Conditions of Employment:Background check required (no felonies within past 7 years) Drug screening required E-Verify employer (must be authorized to work in the U.S.) Must bring your own 22 oz hammer and tape measure Work boots required on day one No facial hair (must meet safety/PPE requirements)
