Company DescriptionForks Lath & Plaster (FLP) is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize all field and operational functions. As a key member of the leadership team, this role drives strategy, performance, and growth while ensuring excellence in project execution. The Director of Operations will oversee Project Managers and Field Supervisors, align field operations with company goals, and implement processes to improve efficiency while upholding FLP’s standards for safety, quality, and performance.This will be a full-time role and can be based in either our Fargo or Grand Forks, ND offices.Applicants must have/possess:Current and valid Driver’s license and reliable means of transportationClear background record5+ years of experience in construction operations, project management, or field leadershipWHY JOIN THE FLP TEAM?Employer Paid Medical Insurance PlanVoluntary Vision and Dental Insurance PlansRetirement Plan with Company MatchAnnual Profit Sharing BonusPaid Time Off Package Starting on Day 1Paid HolidaysPaid On-Site TrainingWeekly Direct Deposit PaySafety and Skills TrainingCompany Branded PPE & Clothing IssuanceEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramThe primary role of the Director of Operations includes the following essential functions:Oversee all projects from a project management and field execution perspective, leading Project Managers and Field Supervisors to ensure alignment, accountability, and performanceProvide direct leadership to Project Managers and Field Supervisors, ensuring all projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budgetConduct job site visits to evaluate field execution, crew performance, safety compliance, and production progressEnsure successful project closeout, including punch list completion, final inspections, and turnover documentationLead weekly operations meetings with Project Managers and Field Supervisors to review performance, address issues, and drive accountabilityEstablish and enforce operational standards, processes, and performance metricsDrive labor planning strategies across multiple projects to maximize efficiencyEvaluate team performance and implement coaching, training, or corrective actions as neededEnsure consistent communication and alignment between field operations, office staff, and leadership teamsQualifications and Skills:5+ years of experience in construction operations, project management, or field leadership2+ years in a senior leadership or multi-team management role (preferred)Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams at onceStrong understanding of construction processes, labor management, and project executionStrong leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability and performanceClear and effective communicator across all levels of the organizationFLP is an exceptional company seeking exceptional people.
