Loss Control Representative

Our Loss Control Department is looking to hire someone within the Baton Rouge or New Orleans area. This hybrid role will involve servicing current business clients, particularly those in the construction industry. After training is completed much of this position will involve meeting with existing small business clients, usually in the construction industry, and explaining to them the benefits and responsibilities of having workers' compensation coverage. In addition, the position would involve meeting with potential clients to evaluate any risks or exposures that they may have. The ideal candidate would have the following skills: · Be able to travel for visits, sometimes to job sites, in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metro areas · Have strong communications skills · Be able to write and complete reports relative to clients and risk evaluation · Be able to develop relationships with current clients · Have some knowledge of the construction or home-building industry The position will require being on the road 3-4 days a week meeting with clients as well as coming into the headquarters, located in Mandeville, LA, for meetings a couple times a month. This position will provide a company vehicle as well as a computer and cell phone. On occasion, job sites will be outside of the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metro areas and will require overnight stays in a hotel, to meet with a client, at the company's expense.
