Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered NurseThe Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Supporting individuals going through some sort of mental health or substance abuse crisis. Must be compassionate, willing to work as a team, willing to be adaptable to different personalities and work effectively in the environment. Need to have a cool head under pressure. Ability to chart consistently, support needs as they arise, ability to deescalate situations and provide appropriate care.Charting System: NoneClient Interview Required: YesClient Interview Details: Short phone screen with myself to confirm commitment. 5-10 minutes. Client will do short phone screen as well roughly 30 minutes.Submission Requirements: Cover Letter UPDATED RESUME (No gaps without explanation, experience clearly stated) Licensure BLS Driver's License Personal Information Sheet (attachments) Diploma/transcripts (Can be omitted for submittal but must have before start.) RTO: 3 days MAX Availability to screen with myself and client for interview for following week.Minimum Experience and Certification Required: 1+ experience working in Crisis Center or similar environments Must not be taking from our other clients for this opportunity. No block scheduling. We be removed from assignment for excessive call outs.Orientation: Expectations is one week in class (its shorter), M-F 8AM-5PM. Must attend and be able to attend all those dates. Orientation Schedule: 5.18 in Brunswick, or 6.8 in Savannah. File due Wednesday at noon before orientation or will be moved to next orientation.First Day Instructions: Arrive on time at minimum. Be prepared for classroom environment for first couple days.
